Holiday Items

Every Easter, Halloween and Christmas, Jagex hold a week long event, providing free festive items to the players that participate.
For the first 2 years of doing this, the events were only on for 15 hours, during which items would appear on the ground at random times or locations. These items could then be traded after the event to those that didn't recive anything.
As it turned out, several years after these items came out their price has increased considerably, and they are now considered 'rares'.

After Jagex realised that players were making unfair amounts of money with the items they created purely for fun, they made all the new ones non-tradeable. Also, rather than them being around only for 15 hours, and them randomly appearing on the floor, they made a small event that you could do to earn the item.

Rubber Chicken	Easter 2005	You get an extra option to slap people when wielding it

Hats and Scarves	Christmas 2004	Can be worn on head or round neck
Puppets	Christmas 2005	You can do emotions with them
Ring of Egg	Easter 2006	When worn, you turn into an easter egg
Skeleton Costume	Halloween 2006	Can be worn
Jack o'Lantern	Halloween 2006	Can be worn on head
Reindeer Hat	Christmas 2006	Can be worn on head, if you select operate while wearing it, your red nose will flash and you will act like a reindeer
Wintumber Tree	Christmas 2006	Can be planted in your POH
Chicken Costume	Easter 2007	When worn, provides an enhanced 'flap' emote
Grim Reaper Hood	Halloween 2007	Can be worn

If you lost any of these items, you can get another from Diango or Thessalia, or in the case of the Zombie Head, by digging in Lumbridge Swamp.


Other Discontinued Items

There were 2 other objects that Jagex deemed no longer useful, and so discontinued. The remaining few however, like the first holiday items, are now considered rares and have gone up massively in price.

Disk of Returning	There used to be an area called the Black Hole, where rule breakers were imprisoned. Ordinary players could purchase a disk that they could spin to go and visit them
Half Full Wine Jug	Wine jugs used to hold 2 drink-worths. When it was changed to 1 all the half full ones were no longer possible to obtain
