Ectofuntus Training Guide



The ectofuntus can be used to train prayer, because it gives 4X the normal XP from bones. This is not the fastest, nor the most efficient way of using it, it is just simply my way. Big bones are being used for example in this guide, but dragon bones are most frequently used.

However, there are some requirements to use the ectofuntus:

To begin with, equip your ghostspeak amulet, and put the ectophial and 27 buckets into your inventory. Teleport with the ectophial, refill at the ectofuntus (#5 on the map), and then head down the trapdoor (#1).

You will need to head down several flights of stairs, or you can use the agility shortcut if you have level 58+ agility. At the bottom (#2), use a bucket on the slime pool, and you will automatically fill every bucket on you. When finished, teleport with the ectophial, and refill.



Follow the red path, right-clicking past the energy barrier, until you reach the bank (#3). Store all of your slime buckets, and withdraw 9 slime buckets, 9 pots, and 9 of your bones. Teleport with the ectophial, refill, head up the stairs to the east, and you will see the bone grinder. (#4)



To operate the bone grinder, use your bones on the loader (a.), then spin the grinding wheel (b.), and finally fill up your pot from the vat (c.). Repeat this 8 more times, and you'll have 9 slime buckets and 9 bonemeal pots ready to use.

Remember, when grinding your bones, be careful NOT to bury them.



Head back downstairs (or teleport and refill if you're feeling lazy), then simply click on the ectofuntus to worship it. If big bones normally give 15XP, worshipping them once will give me 60XP (15 × 4 = 60).

After worshipping all nine, speak to a ghost disciple...



You will receive 45 ectotokens, store them in your bank. Even if you don't need ectotokens, speaking to the disciple is still necessary to "empty" the ectofuntus, and remember, ectotokens may have another use in future!

Repeat the grinding and worshipping process until you run out of slime buckets, then refill your buckets with slime at that point.
