Dynamic Driver + Balanced Armature

The YINFU JOYFUL-XG60 is a product I introduced to the sellers, in hope that it would be worth the relatively premium price they cost. I was very impressed with the package and its contents, those made the deal extra sweet (escpecially those two MMCX cables and even a audio plug adapter for your favorite stationary amplifier). When it comes to sound quality, as you can see by the frequency response curve, it's very similar to Tennmak Pro, but seems to be less refined (even though it has a balanced armature).

While JOYFUL-XG60 seem to have a more pronounced bass, even compared to the Tennmak Pro with sealed bass vents, the Tennmak Pro has the better mids and highs - they are louder and far more detailed.

If you want an excellent package with a huge pile of accessories, JOYFUL-XG60 are worth the price, but when it comes to sound, Tennmak Pro has the upper hand.

  • Very potent mid-centric earphones.
  • Can easily be used either in-ear style or over-the-ear style.
  • Excellent packaging, accessories and presentation by YINFU.
  • YINFU used standard MMCX connectors instead of proprietary ones, which makes customizing much more accessible.

  • The mids and highs lack that excellent clarity that you experience with Tennmak Pro.
  • The housings are very light and basically look like cheap plastic toys.

Comfort & Fit

I couldn't get a proper seal when I tried using these in-ear style, probably due to the short nozzles. However, when these are used over-the-ear, they are super comfortable and very easy to insert without even needing the ear loops.

Lows / Bass

Excellent bass quality, quite noticeably deeper and more stable than Tennmak Pro's bass. This, however, resulted in slightly bloated bass that competes for dominance with the emphasized mids. On higher volumes, this can sound a bit uncomfortable. These earphones passed the bass shaker test quite impressively though.

Mids / Vocals

The mids are quite emphasized, even "shouty" for my taste. However, unlike the Tennmak Pro, the mids on these seem to be pushed back by the powerful bass a bit. Tonally they seem to be darker than what I would like.

Highs / Treble

The highs are very decent for vocal-oriented music and even electronic music. However, as I compared them with Tennmak Pro's highs, I noticed a major lack in claritry, sharpness and detail in comparison. The highs seem to be a bit on the darker side in comparison.
